An official complaint was lodged against Ilyas on May 1, accusing him of aggressive attempts to take over the central administrative hub and seize critical documents of the Centaurus Mall.

The complaint was initiated by Colonel (retd) Tipu Sultan, who oversees security at The Centaurus Mall. It identified Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Muhammad Ali, Anil Sultan, Rizwan, and several others as suspects.

The complaint described that Ilyas, alongside a contingent of 20 to 25 armed supporters, forcefully accessed office 1708 in Centaurus Mall, breaking in with the aim of occupying it. Nonetheless, vigilant security personnel impeded their endeavor. It is alleged that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas threatened the lives of Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan and Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan as well as their associates.

It further detailed that the accused group engaged in physical violence against the security officer, and when law enforcement was alerted and reached the location, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas supposedly discharged a firearm at Colonel (retd) Tipu Sultan, and, by a stroke of luck, missed him.
