Renowned for his candidness about industry challenges and the obstacles faced by outsiders, Manoj Bajpayee recently spoke out about his deceased friend, Sushant Singh Rajput, and the difficulties he faced within the film community. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Manoj disclosed the effect that adverse press had on Sushant. Manoj Discusses Sushant’s Difficulties with Anonymous Media Attacks

Reflecting on his conversations with Sushant, Manoj explained how Sushant grappled with the influential in the industry. “Sushant was truly affected by anonymous media attacks. Being of kind nature, he was prone to being affected by such negativity. He often sought my advice on how to tackle these issues. I encouraged him to disregard them, noting my own experience with similar accusations and how I am still dealing with their repercussions,” said Manoj.

Manoj Offers Guidance to Sushant

Elaborating further, Manoj stated, “I advised him on dealing with influential individuals whose projects are successful. My approach with them is distinct—I would send indirect, but firm messages through friends to set them straight. Sushant would smile and remark, ‘Sir, you can do that; I cannot.’ But it was the anonymous articles that truly bothered him. He was an exceptionally sensitive and cerebral individual.”

Manoj is currently preparing for the launch of his latest crime action-thriller, ‘Bhaiyya Ji,’ where he portrays a dynamic action role. Known for choosing distinctive roles, Manoj tries his hand at a mainstream action movie this time.

‘Bhaiyya Ji’ is set to hit the screens on May 24.
