The entertainment industry is abuzz as trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to confirm the commencement of this much-anticipated project. The film, which has yet to be named, is a Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment brainchild. This collaboration is a first for Ayushmann with the esteemed Dharma Productions team.

The social media announcement stated, “AYUSHMANN – SARA ALI KHAN TO STAR IN DHARMA – SIKHYA’S ACTION-COMEDY”.

“Joining forces once again, Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment are bringing an action-comedy with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan at the forefront. The project, penned and directed by Aakash Kaushik, marks the third movie partnership for Dharma and Sikhya… Production is in full swing… Stay tuned for the big title reveal,” the announcement elaborated.

While specific details about the film remain closely guarded, it is described as a ‘fully loaded commercial film’ boasting high-octane action sequences and a healthy dose of comedy.

A Glimpse into Ayushmann and Sara’s Recent Ventures

Ayushmann recently showcased his talents in the comedy sequel Dream Girl 2 directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, alongside Ananya Panday. Debuting on August 25, 2023, the film enjoyed a successful theatrical run, grossing over 100 crore. The cast also included the likes of Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa, and Vijay Raaz among others.

Sara’s latest appearances were in the gripping murder mystery Murder Mubarak, directed by Homi Adajania, and Ae Watan Mere Watan, a tale woven around India’s fight for independence. She’s poised to grace the silver screen in Anurag Basu’s sequel Metro… In Dino, a follow-up to Life… In a Metro.
