Ras Al Khaimah, the sixth largest city in the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled a fresh island destination, “Raha Island”, in Mina Al Arab, furthering the current real estate surge, Gulf News indicated. The endeavor, backed by RAK Properties, will revolve around luxurious hotels and serviced residences, and will incorporate retail areas, marinas, beach clubs, and recreational opportunities. CEO Sameh Al Muhtadi stated: “We are optimistic that the existing customer demand for superior meticulously crafted developments will be fulfilled at Raha Island.”Our mission now is not only to satisfy this demand but to surpass expectations by elevating this esteemed destination further.” The emirate has observed numerous launches focused on luxury since the previous year, with several hotel developments including the prominent Wynn project on Al Marjan Island. The Al Marjan Island has attracted substantial investments as the first of these notable projects is anticipated to open its doors within the next 3 years. According to Gulf News, Raha Island will feature over 2.5 kilometers of “accessible public beaches”. Meanwhile, the island’s new marinas will serve as the “ideal launching spot for water sports and adventures, or simply a leisurely day on the water”. Inhabitants and tourists will have the opportunity to explore local sites or take the hydrofoil to other Emirates in the south through a water transit link across Mina Al Arab.
