Spotify delivers verdict on Olivia Rodrigo’s crazy fame

Spotify Proclaims Olivia Rodrigo’s Astounding Success

The sensation of Olivia Rodrigo’s rise to fame becomes even more evident as Spotify declares her album Sour the platform’s most streamed album by a female artist to date.

According to Spotify, the album set a new record as “the U.S. female debut album with the highest number of audio streams” and shattered the platform’s previous record for “the highest amount of streams in a single week for an album by a female artist.”

Surpassing expectations, the album also clinched the top spot on the Billboard 200 and has been celebrated as “the debut album that spent the most consecutive weeks in the top 10 for this century.”

Sour, which was unveiled by Geffen Records on May 21, 2021, is a collaboration between Olivia and producer Dan Nigro.

Significantly, the Grammy-awarded song Drivers License played a vital role in transforming what was initially planned to be an EP into a full-length album.

Meanwhile, Olivia is touring with the GUTS World Tour and was recently spotted taking in the picturesque views of Amsterdam wearing a stylish outfit.

Her ensemble paid homage to what’s described as the coastal cowgirl look, complete with a captain’s hat and a delicate white eyelet dress.
