Harry, Meghan’s Nigeria trip left Charles, William ‘scratching their heads’

The royal visit to Nigeria by Harry and Meghan has conveyed a strong message to King Charles and Prince William

Prince Harry and Meghan Spark Royal Bewilderment with Nigeria Journey

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have surprised the royal family with their recent trip to Nigeria, leading to speculation about the couple’s status within the royal hierarchy.

Invited by Nigeria’s Defence Chief, Harry and Meghan’s three-day venture included a series of visits to educational institutions, medical facilities, and promotion of the Invictus Games.

According to royal commentator Tom Quinn, the excursion appeared to be a declaration of the couple’s reluctance to forego their royal engagement roles.

“The agenda of Harry and Meghan’s journey to Nigeria looked remarkably similar to an official royal tour – complete with formal gatherings, outreach to schools, charities, injured servicemen, and those with disabilities,” Quinn detailed to The Mirror.

He observed that King Charles and Prince William are bewildered by how to manage what he calls “this problematic situation.”

“The manner in which Meghan and Harry delivered their talks and presented themselves seemed to challenge the need for royal consent to carry out royal duties – they seem determined to operate as royals on their own terms, regardless of location,” Quinn remarked.
